About this role
- Product Vision, Goals & Strategy: Research competitors, player insights, market trends, game genres, and potential opportunities in the mobile game market.
- Define the product vision, objectives, and short-term/long-term strategy for assigned game products, aligned with Skylink Studio’s overall direction.
- Identify key product priorities and development directions for each stage of the game lifecycle.
- Translate business objectives into clear product goals and measurable outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously review market movements, player behavior, and product performance to adjust product direction when necessary.
- Product Goal & Development Management: Take ownership of overall product goals and coordinate the development process to ensure the product achieves its defined objectives.
- Coordinate resources across Game Design, Development, Art, QC/QA, Data, Growth, and related functions; ensure the right capabilities and sufficient resources at each development stage.
- Review and provide recommendations on product development plans based on agreed product goals and strategy.
- Define priorities, milestones, and expected outcomes for each development stage.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and proactively coordinate resources to resolve them.
- Provide the team with necessary knowledge, tools, processes, information, and resources to achieve product goals.
- Ensure alignment among cross-functional teams and take ownership of product outcomes rather than task completion alone.
- Product Performance & Data-driven Decision Making: Define and monitor key product metrics according to product stage and business objectives.
- Analyze player behavior and product performance through relevant metrics such as Retention, DAU/MAU, Engagement, Session, FTUE, Level Funnel, ARPU/ARPDAU, LTV, IAP, and IAA performance.
- Use data, player feedback, market insights, and product observations to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
- Formulate hypotheses and coordinate product experiments/A/B tests where appropriate.
- Make product decisions based on data while maintaining strong product judgment and player experience.
- Continuously optimize product performance, player experience, retention, engagement, and monetization.
- Team Leadership & Development: Participate in building and maintaining an effective team structure for assigned products, with clear roles, responsibilities, and collaboration mechanisms.
- Coordinate with relevant Leads and HR in workforce planning and recruitment based on product development needs.
- Participate in onboarding, performance review, competency development, and development planning for team members within the assigned product scope.
- Coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job guidance to strengthen product thinking, ownership, and execution capability.
- Build a high-performance team focused on quality, ownership, continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration.
- Proactively address collaboration issues or resource gaps that may impact product performance.
What we're looking for
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Manager, Product Owner, Game Product, or equivalent roles within the mobile game industry.
- Proven experience in developing and/or operating commercial mobile game products.
- Strong understanding of mobile game product development and lifecycle, from R&D/Prototype to Production, Soft Launch, and LiveOps.
- Strong game sense and understanding of player behavior, gameplay loop, progression, balance, and user experience.
- Experience with mobile game monetization models, including IAA and/or IAP.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Game Design, Development, Art, QC/QA, Data, and Growth.
- Experience in Puzzle/Casual games is a strong advantage.
